Arcade sumo: one motion shoves your animal forward and knocks rivals off the edge of the ring.
A ring, your animal and two to five rivals. A short wind-up, someone else's bulk flies off the edge, you are still standing.
A wave releases rivals, you pick direction and force in one gesture and strike. A wave takes about ten seconds, three waves make an arena, and the pace steps up after that. On a phone it is a swipe whose length sets the force. On desktop the direction follows the cursor and holding charges the force.
No randomness in death: no pickups, no traps, no cheap shots on the arena. But risk has to pay, so the danger lives in where you aim rather than in the act of pressing.
